About

Built by a coach who needed the numbers himself.

synadata grew out of the bench, not out of a business plan. A head coach in Switzerland's top league wanted to know on Monday what had really happened on Saturday. The tools for that did not exist in floorball. So he built them.

Measured, not claimed

Every metric on this site was tested against real games. What does not hold up is labelled “experimental” or left out.

Honest about automation

Detection from video is never flawless. That is why every number carries the label “automatic” or “reviewed”, and the coaching staff decides.

Few clubs

We do not grow wide, we grow with the teams we support. Every club has a contact who knows the code.

From floorball

40×20 metres, three periods, flying changes. The metrics are calibrated for this sport, not borrowed from ice hockey.

Yannick Rubini

Founder synadata · Head coach Unihockey Tigers Langnau

Yannick Rubini has been head coach of Unihockey Tigers Langnau in the L-UPL, Switzerland's top league, since the 2022/23 season. He came up through the Tigers' youth ranks and has coached at the club since 2013, first as an assistant, then with the U18 and U21 teams and as head of player development. In 2025 the Tigers reached the Superfinal for the first time under him; the league named him Best Coach of the L-UPL men that same season.

What interests him about game analysis is less the statistic than the question behind it: why did a chance come about, and which part of that can be repeated? A result says little about a game, a shot count only slightly more. He wants to know what happens between the events: how a team is positioned after losing the ball, how it enters the zone, which line concedes chances under which circumstances. To him, numbers are not a verdict but the way to a better conversation with the team on Monday.

synadata is the tool he missed for that: video and numbers in one place, metrics calibrated for floorball, and detection from the broadcast that takes work off the coaching staff instead of replacing it. He built the pipeline himself and has run it with the Tigers in competitive play since 2026. Every metric on this site was first tested on his own games.
